Glyd Rings are double acting seals which are combination of D-Ring and O-Ring. The pressurised O-Ring in the inner side of the D-Ring gives tension to the D-ring that exerts the sealing pressure to the walls of the hydraulic cylinder brining up the right sealing performance.
